What does it take to get more sales?

It’s the big question for all of us, right?

After more than three decades in sales, I can tell you there is no magic bullet or silver pill, but there is a formula that works well for getting both individual reps and sales teams into higher gears - and into sales acceleration mode.

It’s not about the shiny new tech, tactic or process - but much more humbly - about smart and disciplined execution of the basics.

Not too sexy, but very real, and very effective.

Reps need to know who to reach out to, why it will matter to them, and what to do along the way to keep moving towards the sale.

Sales teams need to support these efforts with real and consistent front line development, accountability and tools.

Sorry - none of that “10X” or “Sales AI” stuff here - just the core fundamentals that sales is really built on.

When you have a solid foundation, some of that new and fancy stuff can work pretty well.

If you don’t have a solid foundation, you are putting new paint on a broken car - and that’s not going to make it faster.
